The Park Lane development consists of two multi- storey residential buildings, which is the second stage that is currently in construction at the One Central Park precinct in Chippendale, NSW. The buildings are nine and nineteen storeys offering 393 apartments to this site and includes retail and commercial facilities that will support the population.
Surface Design has been engaged by Watpac Constructions to provide Sustainable and Façade Design services. The project achieved a 5 star Green Star Multi-Residential v1 Design rating in 2013 and is targeting 5 star Green Star Multi-Residential v1 As-built rating in 2015. The development incorporates a number of environmental design initiatives which are supported by the central services of a central thermal plant facility and recycled water treatment plant supporting a number of water demands throughout the development. This development has achieved a number of sustainable outcomes across waste management in construction, materials use, energy efficiency and thermal comfort for occupants.
